VAT

Please note the Curved Door Store Ltd is a VAT registered business.  VAT registration no. is:  255619094.

Please be aware that all prices are subject to VAT (please see exceptions below), this will be added on at checkout.  VAT is also charged on delivery (unless delivery is free).  Currently this is calculated at the current applicable rate of the NETT price.  Sales tax amounts stated may be subject to rounding variances.  The exact amount of sales tax will be shown on the sales tax invoice (where provided).  The Isle of Man is not part of the UK, but following the 1979 Customs and Excise Agreement, it is treated as part of the UK for VAT purposes.

This means that goods sent from the UK to the Isle of Man are not treated as exports, and so VAT must be charged at the usual UK VAT rate.  Similarly, supplying services to a customer belonging on the Isle of Man is the same as supplying the service to a customer in the UK.  The Isle of Wight is also subject to VAT at the UK VAT rate as are all other isles/islands that form part of the UK (not otherwise mentioned below).

Channel Islands

The Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm) are NOT part of the UK or the European Union for VAT purposes on the sale of goods.  With the exception of Jersey, whereby GST is charged (at 5%) for all goods (including any delivery charges) purchased that exceed the value of £240.00 online and exported from the UK and imported to Jersey.

You (the person or company importing the goods or services) must pay GST to Jersey Customs using CAESAR.  If the goods are being shipped then they will be held by Customs until the customer declares the value and pay the GST.

You will need your Consignment Line Code (CLC) reference number and the total value of your goods (including the freight costs).  Customs will create a consignment within CAESAR and an advice letter will be sent to the addressee requiring payment of duty to be made within three clear days of receipt, which will include the CLC number.  If you have evidence of payment to support the declared value it may speed up the declaration process.

To pay and for more information about GST follow the instructions on the government website for Jersey:

https://www.gov.je/TaxesMoney/GST/GSTCustomers/Pages/DeclaringPaying.aspx

Southern Ireland

A VAT-registered UK business does not need to charge VAT on goods it is sending to Ireland, provided it keeps documentary proof of export.  Curved Door Store Ltd must also obtain the Irish customer’s VAT registration number and show it on the invoice (including the IE prefix).  All Irish VAT numbers are in the format 9999999X or 9X99999X.  Even where VAT is not being charged, the net value of the sale must still be reported on the UK VAT return, in boxes 6 and 8. It should also be included on the EC Sales List, and the Intrastat return if the business is required to make one.

European Union

VAT will be levied as above as applicable.  However, different rates of VAT apply in different EU member states, ranging from 15 to 27%.

International

VAT is not applicable.

Prices

The purchase price of the goods is stated in the order confirmation.  The prices are exclusive of VAT, taxes and other duties.

Curved Door Store Ltd is entitled to adjust the purchase price if the total costs for the manufacture of the goods have been increased by circumstances beyond our control, such as increases in prices on raw material, electricity, taxes etc.

The prices quoted include packaging.

Property Rights

All goods remain the sole property of the Curved Door Store Ltd, until payment has been made in full; either to the Curved Door Store Ltd or to an authorised representative.

Availability

Should for any reason the product not be available for immediate delivery you will be contacted with an estimated date of delivery. Should the date not be acceptable and you wish to cancel your order and you have paid, your payment will be refunded including any delivery charges.  Refunds are made by the same method as the original payment was made.

Raw Material

We regret that the Curved Door Store Ltd cannot be held responsible if its suppliers immediately discontinue any material without warning, which is made to make Curved Door Store Ltd products.  Curved Door Store Ltd will do its utmost to source the same product from other suppliers or products of a similar nature to continue the manufacture of your order.  (This may cause a delay in your order, we will of course keep you informed).  Your order is important to us as is customer satisfaction.  If the Curved Door Store Ltd is unable to supply your order because of this, we will refund in full any monies paid, including any shipping costs (if relevant).

Delivery

All goods are delivered to the address stated at the time of ordering. We aim to deliver your goods if they are in stock as soon as possible within approximately 14 working days for tailor-made products, 7 days for ‘made to order’ products (this is only an estimate and may be sooner or no more than 30 days after you have placed your order, which is in accordance with The Consumer Contracts Regulations Act 2013).

Our products are sent out in good faith and occasionally goods are misrouted, lost in transit or may be subject to delays beyond our control. As with all deliveries, occasionally your parcel may be subjected to delays beyond our control.  If the contents of your parcel are for installation on site, we do not recommend you schedule any work until you have received the goods.  We cannot be held responsible or be liable for any losses, damages, charges or expenses as a result of any delay of delivery.

Whilst we have every good intention in ensuring each product is manufactured to a very high standard, as all goods are made to order, it is possible from time-to-time that goods could be made incorrectly, which in turn may delay your order, please rest assured that we will do our utmost to make sure this does not happen and that you receive your order within the time specified.

‘Tailor-made’ Products – Delays

We will start to manufacture your order after the first 2 working hours cooling off period and we will aim to deliver your product within 14 days.  Delays may occur occasionally due to forces beyond our control but we will strive to keep this to an absolute minimum and aim to deliver your goods no later than 30 days.  This is in line with The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.  We will keep you informed of any foreseeable delays.
